anyone, have any suggestions on how one would achive motion control when bluescreening, without using a computer aided device? Just any low-budget tricks? Or maybe something in post? Anything at all?

I'm trying to film multiple elements on a blue screen and then composite them onto a background, not all shots are moving, in fact this is still a few months in the future, but i would like to have some moving shots. My only guess would be to make the shots nothing more then an up and down or side to side move and then just use after effects to track the blue screen shots along the background. Would it be wise to include markers in the footage as a guide?
Should I perhaps when shooting the background plates but markers on it and shot it and then somehow paint them out? And then do the same with the bluescreen shots

NoControl Cinema have a whole bunch of tutorials that show you have to do blue-screening effects (on a low/no-budget).

you really need motion control if you are doing multiple passes of different elements, otherwise the final composite will look a mess.
if you only have one element you don't necessarily need motion control IMO.
IIRC the Liberator in Blakes7 was just hanging on a piece of string and the camera was moved manually (like the original Star Trek).
depends what you're trying to achieve.
